WEB PHILOSOPHY

Communicate. The website is an excellent tool to communicate among churchmembers (including shose that can not visit the church as they are away from home or are taking care of others at a different location)  and with people outside our community (including potential new members) The website has to show what we stand for (mission, vision, values), what we do, what we like, what we are concerned or happy about. Show: who we are. It is a two-sided communication as churchmembers are given numerous opportunities:

1. Get their own webpages for their group, interest or activity (and they can receive training in how to maintain their part of the site.
2. Send in Emails
3. Submit prayer concerns and 
4. Use the message board.

The website is an excellent tool to expand the ministry beyond worship, events, etc. It fits the environment of the 21st Century.

Fun. The website has to be fun to visit. The look and feel have to be inviting as well as the content itself. We like to have happy website campers. Therefore we like to include the latest content, color and animated graphics. If the website is "cool", it will support our communication.

KIS. The website has to be simple in use and administration. We therefore selected WebMedley as our service provider as their tool is relatively simple to use. We also want to avoid an overload of information. An overload is difficult to keep up with and will therefore age quickly.
